Ride Horse

Tracer Rankin

The first step is obiously to have a horse. Have you horse tied up and brushed. If you have a hitching rail that would be the best place to tie the horse. I have pictures to help see what to do. I hope I can teach how to saddle a horse.
This is the saddle with everything you need to know the name of.
First Step is put the blanket on. You want the blanket to be centered.
When you trow the saddle on you want all strappes and the sturup to swing out. You don't want it to hit the horse or they might jump. Get it set in the middle with the blanket. It doesn't have to be perfect, but decent.
First strap the sinch. Take the long srap leather strap on the left and put it through the ring twice. Then tighten it so that it is good and snugg. Find the hole so it is like a belt.
The loose leather strap will be tied. Take the end put it throught the left of the ring and then the right. Put it in the hole and down to tighten.
Next is the breast strap. There is a small ring that it will go in. It is not going to be really tight. The ring on the breat strap is going to line up with the middle of the horses chest.
Then the earies is the back strap. All you have to do is pull it tight, tuck it in the pocket, and done.
The last step with the saddle is on the belly of the horse. The straps on the breast strap will snap on the gurth strap under the horse. There are 3, but only 2 go under.
Now the bridle with all the names.
Put bit in mouth then just slip over the head.
Put over the right side first then you can pull over to your body.
Tighten the strap under the head. Don't put it to tight just so the loop toughes the horse. Just a touch not snuggle or tight.
Thanks for looking at my wbsite. Hope to see you on the trails!
Snap the therd strap on the ring of the halter.
